Police Accreditation

On July 14, 2003 the Penn Township Police Department was officially recognized as the first York County police department to be awarded the Certificate of Law Enforcement Accreditation by the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association.

The Police Department was again accredited in:
July of 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021

Certificate of Accreditation

The Penn Township Police Department was awarded a Certificate of Accreditation from the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police. The department is among one hundred thirty-one departments in the state with the designation. Recognition of 50 Years in Service

In recognition of fifty years of service, professionalism, and integrity, the Board of Commissioners presented the Police Department with this banner.
