DESCRIPTION:Sen. Kristin Phillips-Hill (R-York) will host a special event on Thursday\, May. 15\, to connect local citizens with unclaimed property currently being held by the Pennsylvania Treasury. Through the Treasury Department’s Unclaimed Property program\, local residents can easily recover financial assets that have been forgotten or overlooked. \nSouthern York County residents are encouraged to visit the Pennsylvania Treasury Department’s Unclaimed Property database at www.patreasury.gov/unclaimed-property to search for any assets in their name. Constituents who discover unclaimed property can attend the event for assistance\, where staff from Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity’s office will be present to help navigate the process. A notary public will also be available to assist with claims exceeding $5\,000. \n  \nIf you are unable to attend\, Phillips-Hill’s team is available during normal office hours to help constituents recover unclaimed property. Residents can also apply for unclaimed property through the Treasury’s website.
