It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen to be or remain in or upon the streets within the Township during the period of 11:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. Sunday through Thursday and 12:00 midnight to 6:00 A.M. Friday and Saturday, with certain specified exceptions.
The Township has adopted codes regulating the standards for construction of buildings and the installation of Plumbing in said buildings. Permits are required prior to any new construction, remodeling of existing structures, and demolition of structures. Inspection of the work being performed is required. Check with the Township office prior to erecting any structures or making any changes to the inside or outside of a property.
SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT
The Township has an ordinance regulating the subdivision of land, adjustment of lot lines and development of lots for multi-family or non-residential uses. Plans are subject to review by the York County Planning Commission, the Township Planning Commission and approval of the Board of Commissioners. Copies of this ordinance are available for review or purchase at the Township Office.
The Township's Property Maintenance Code prohibits the growth of weeds exceeding ten (10") inches in height. Persons found in violation are guilty of a summary offense and may be liable for a fine not exceeding $1,000 for each day the violation exists.
Permits must be obtained from the Township for all private sales presently referred to as Yard Sales/Garage Sales or similar sales. Private sales must be conducted between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and sunset on days for which a permit is issued. Sunday yard sales are prohibited.
ITINERANT BUSINESSES & SOLICITING
The Township has adopted regulations governing home solicitation, itinerant merchants and temporary businesses. A permit is required for any itinerant merchant or home solicitor to solicit, sell, display, or offer for sale any goods or services within the Township with the conditional exceptions of charitable, educational or religious purposes.
It is unlawful for any person to use, ride, propel, or otherwise operate a skateboard or rollerblade at any time on any Township-owned property, public street, or rights-of-way, excluding sidewalks.
It is unlawful to erect, construct, or place any rail, ramp, or other related device used for skateboarding or rollerblading in a Township right-of-way, public street, or sidewalk as well as any property owned, leased, managed or under control of the Township of Penn.
It is unlawful to use, ride, propel or otherwise operate a skateboard or rollerblade on private property without the consent of the owners.
The parent and/or guardian of any minor found skateboarding or rollerblading in a prohibited area may be cited under this ordinance.
